About Perthes Kids Foundation

Perthes Kids Foundation

Perthes Kids Foundation was established to help raise global awareness for children and families surviving Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease, a degenerative hip bone disorder (osteochondritis) that makes it painful to walk.

Perthes Kids Foundation was established by CBS Survivor winner, Earl Cole, and the University of Kansas Medical Center. Cole, born and raised in Kansas, was diagnosed with Perthes Disease as a child and founded this non-profit organization to help raise awareness, funds, further research, find a cure, show support and connect others dealing with this rare hip bone disease.

To support this charitable effort, you can make an online donation by purchasing our Perthes Awareness Gear & Merchandise (always look for our PKF brand logo for quality assurance). We look forward to seeing you wear our cool new shirts, hats and other items at our next Perthes Kids Foundation fundraiser. Your donation goes to a great cause in helping us raise money for LCPD! 100% of all monies raised through Perthes Kids Foundation, goes directly to Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease awareness, research and special activities for children.

Perthes Kids Foundation is a subsidiary of The Earl Cole Fund, which is part of KU Endowment (University of Kansas Fund). KU Endowment is an independent tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC). It is not a "private foundation" as defined under IRC Section 509(a), and gifts to it are deductible under IRC Section 170(b).
